About Spritzious
I didn't set out to build a company. I set out to fix my own worst moments.
My name is Julious. Hence Spritz-ious. I learned later in life that the suffix -ious is added to nouns to create adjectives that mean "full of," "characterized by," or "having the nature of"...Spritz. (Thanks for the insight, Thomas!)
Before any of this, I spent years inside a company- head down in the data on botanical essential oils, the aromatic compounds that give plants their smell and, as it turns out, a real and measurable pull on the human body.
We weren't guessing over there. High-throughput screening. In-silico models. Clinical work. Even Nvidia backed. A proprietary database of hundreds of phytochemicals mapped to the exact receptors they touch, in the exact ratios that make them do something.
My background is the commercial side- two decades selling in rooms where the deal lives or dies on whether you can stay present under pressure. So I saw something the scientists around me were too close to notice: the thing they were mapping in the lab was the exact thing I kept reaching for in the field but never had.
The moment that started it
I've stood backstage before a talk with my heart going like a snare drum, running the first line over and over so it wouldn't leave me. You know the version of this in your own life. The four minutes before the meeting. The stress wave that arrives on the plane, uninvited. The dinner where you want to be there and instead you're somewhere three thoughts ahead.
For most of my life the answer was to white-knuckle it- or worse- turn to drugs and alcohol. Then one afternoon I took the compounds I'd been studying, in the ratios the data pointed to, put them in a little mint spray, and used it before I went on. Four sprays. Four seconds.
Here's the strange part, and it's the whole point: nothing happened.
No buzz. No fog. No obvious "kicking in." What happened is what didn't. The edge in my voice that usually shows up- didn't. The spiral that usually starts- didn't start. I was just me, on a normal Tuesday, saying the thing I came to say. With confidence.
The best thing this does, you don't notice
That took me a while to understand, so let me save you the time. Most products sell you an addition- more energy, a bigger high, a louder version of yourself. Spritzious is the opposite. It's subtraction. The anxiety that doesn't arrive. The 2 a.m. loop that never gets going. The reactivity that quietly isn't in the room with you.
That's a harder thing to market, because absence doesn't announce itself. But it's the thing everyone I've ever handed a bottle to actually wanted. Not another mint. The shift- or really, the un-shift. The return to baseline right when that moment is trying to drag you off baseline.
Then I brought it home
I started using it for work. Then I brought it home to my wife. In the evenings, with two kids and the full weight of a day, she got the calm she'd been chasing- present with us, not checked out, not wired. My family tried it. Friends kept asking for "that one again."
None of them were asking for a breath spray. They were asking for the shift. So I stopped treating it as my private tool and built Spritzious.
Around then I did something that still makes my stomach drop a little: I left an executive-level job- the salary, the title, the safe version of the story.
I couldn't keep sitting on something I knew worked and pretending a paycheck was enough. My wife and I made that bet together. This is the thing I'm building for our family's future, in the open, with my actual name on it. If I'm going to ask you to trust it, you should know exactly who's behind it.
What's in it for you
We start and end with plants. Everything is only ever all natural. No THC. No CBD. Just plant compounds, done with real precision.
Mint that wakes you up. Lavender that settles you down. Citrus that lifts. Pine that grounds. My previous company refines those same botanicals with discipline- mapping how the compounds interact, measuring exact concentrations, building blends that are consistent and repeatable instead of "smells nice, who knows." We took their validated compounds and shaped two formulations:
Confident | for the before. The pitch, the stage, the introduction, the date. Social presence without the fog.
Serene | for the during and after. The reset to clear, grounded calm. Waking calm, not checking out.
Both live in a sleek, pocket-ready spray. Four sprays. Roughly 2.5 milligrams of functional botanicals in a clean mint base, taken sublingually so it travels both the direct route to your brain and the systemic one.
It fits in a pocket, takes four seconds, and asks nothing of you but that you remember it's there.
The plants already knew how to do this- people have reached for lavender, pine, citrus and pepper for thousands of years because they simply work.
The science finally caught up and told us why, and in what amounts. The only thing missing was a way to have the right ones, in the right ratio, in the exact second life asks for it.
That's what I built. For me, for my wife, for my kids- and now for you.
Spritz. Breathe. Shift.
